These release notes describe all user-facing changes that will be included in the next Axon Fusus releases, along with advance notice of major upcoming features, updates, and applications.

Scheduled releases for October include:

Releases begin rolling out at 9 AM Pacific time and may continue through the following day. We do not expect any downtime during these updates. Please note that availability is subject to change. Web experience features and enhancements

ALPR Search: Custom Search Purpose fields

Admins can now create their agency's own search purpose fields in Axon Evidence - ALPR Settings, with changes available instantly. Tailor search requirements to your jurisdiction, from simple text entries to validated, restricted, and audited fields.

Key capabilities

  • Custom fields: Add up to 10 text or dropdown fields. Set each as required or optional, and show or hide it on the search page.

  • Flexible dropdowns: Enter options manually or bulk-load them via CSV. Multi-select and searchable lists are available for long option sets.

  • Format validation: Apply regex rules to text fields. Searches are blocked when an entry doesn't match the required format.

  • Restricted keywords: Block specific terms in any text field, added manually or imported via CSV.

  • Automatic auditing: Custom field values appear as their own columns in the Internal Search Audit report, and admin configuration changes are logged, with no extra setup.

  • System field management: Case Number and Reason can now be toggled on/off and set as required. Protected names stay locked, and Offense Category, Case Number, and Reason remain fixed in position.

Search and filter fususCORE appliances

You can now search by location and filter the fususCORE appliances list.

Edit Overview and Policy statements in the Transparency Portal

Agencies can now edit the Overview and Policy statements of their Transparency Portal. This gives agencies more control over how they explain their ALPR program and policies to their communities.

Create a hotlist from Hotlist Management

A new "Create Hotlist" button is now available in Fusus Hotlist Management. You can create a hotlist directly from the Hotlist Management page, without uploading a file or starting from Add Plate first. After you create a hotlist, it appears in your hotlist list. Click it to add plates.

Web experience bug fixes and maintenance

Dropdowns now correctly handle users who share a name

Users with identical display names can now be selected individually in dropdowns. Previously, choosing one selected all of them.

Rule editor headers now stay visible while scrolling

The rule editor's table headers are now always visible and stay pinned as you scroll through the rule list. Previously, they were hidden unless you hovered over the navigation bar.
